Glenn Sturman - Class of 2001

Memorial Message:
Our son, Glenn Howard Sturman, passed away on February 8, 2008. Glenn graduated with honors in June 2001 from Hightstown High School. Glenn was also a member of the
Hightstown High School Basketball Team. Glenn worked hard
at every thing he did in his life. He went on to graduate
from Rutgers University in 2005. He married his college
sweetheart in July 2006. Glenn was diagnosed with cancer
in September 2007. As he did with everything in life, he
fought so hard to win this battle. He never complained and
just 'kept choppin' as they say in Rutgers football, which
was a passion of his. He fought to his very last breath.
He will live in our hearts and be loved forever.

Glenn Sturman was my next door neighbor from the moment my family moved to NJ until our family moved across town to the other side of East Windsor. Glenn and his brother Kevin instantly became best friends with my brother and myself. Each and every day of our childhood, we would play soccer, football, street hockey, basketball and go swimming at the pools together. Glenn is an integral part of my childhood memories, being there every day next door to my family. My memories of Glenn will always be of the brightest and best kind. The essence of Glenn will always live on in my heart and I think the world would be a better place if everyone tried to be a little more like him.

Glenn Sturman achieved true success in life, and he truly lived a full life even by the time he was 25. He was a great friend with an incredible spirit. Glenn inspired the best in all of us, even through his sickness. He will always be remembered.

Glenn was someone who lived his life the way you are supposed to. Whatever he did whether it was school, sports, or work, he was extremely successful at it. He was always someone that I looked up to because of the way he went about his life. You couldn’t find an easier person to get along with. When we were growing up their was honestly nothing better for me then when Our Dads, Glenn, Kevin, and myself would get together and watch a Jets game or go out to see a Basketball game. Glenn had an amazing sense of humor, I cant think of a time being around him that we weren’t kidding around or joking around about something or another. His personality just kind of rubbed off on anyone around him. Glenn is always going to be simply remembered as a Winner in every aspect of life.

Special words for my Glenn! There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real everyday I feel that way about my nephew. He had some of the finest qualities and loved sports so much I am proud to say my brother and Nancy made all that possible for him. I will always remember those great memories we had he always put a big smile on my face I will never forget him. He inspired so many people I was always so proud of every accomplishment he did and I knew in my heart he could do so many things to his best ability! As a friend and neighbor, I knew Glenn to be indepented and strong minded, persistant yet quiet. Glenn was someone with great confidence, yet gentle and reliable. He always succeeded in his athletic and academic endeavors. He always gave it his best. As people change and their paths take new direction, I lost contact with Glenn through the later years of HighSchool, College, and after. However, I would always hear through friends and family, of his accomplishments and growth as a person, a professional, and a family man. The time spent with him and the rest of Quad1 crew will never be forgotten.

Glenn was the first person who i really could classify as a friend. We grew up 5 houses down from another and ever since elementary school we have been close. Glenn was a great guy, never did anything wrong, and succeeded at everything he tried, whether it was school, basketball, or anything else Glenn always put in 100% into doing it. When Glenn asked me to be an usher at his wedding i was honored beyond belief to stand up there with him as he was getting married. Glenn will always be missed and never be forgotten
